Javlok's Amalgam augment (AJMW) has led the way. It is the first case of damage reflection that uses numbers high enough to work make a significant impact. Blocking is interesting. Mitigating a percentage of damage for merely having a melee equipped while looking in the direction of enemies is nice. It became automatic, which made the mechanic much better. (IMO) The mods for it though need to be reworked entirely.Viral 60/60 mods is a good option to give raw damage as well as a useful status effect, however, for a slash build only the viral status effect is useful and this takes up TWO mod slots. There are very few weapons capable of going past level 500~ with a corrosive build thats better than slash.
