Blessing 2 vs dusk
After months of research, I've narrowed it down to two contenders: the Moondrop Blessing 3 and the long awaited Blessing 3 Dusk, now called the Dusk. My decision-making process was heavily influenced by the venerable Crinacle, even though he reviewed the Blessing 2s and introduced the Dusk version. Yeah Timeless makes Sundara sound a bit dull in comparison to my ears. Although the mids on Sundara might be a bit more revealing, the overall tonality on Timeless makes it a worthy trade-off. The Blessings 2 Dusk lies more in neutral territory and has a little more sub bass, a little less shout and treble for $10 more so it is worth it in my opinion. You should also consider the Drop JVC HA-FDX1 as that has a neutral sound.
I really think the stock Blessing 2 is amazing on their own and you shouldn't bend over backwards to get a marginal change. If you listen to a lot of vocal focused music, definitely get the Blessings. I've demo'ed a few kilobuck options and the Dusks still hold up. New doesn't always mean better. New tech won't mean they will be rendered obsolete. Even if Moondrop releases a Blessing 3, it won't mean the 2 "doesn't hold up" because it's ultimately a timeless quality ...We go over the Blessing 2 box contents.
