I think it's only for submitted publications but I've encountered a similar issue. I was told not to include anything that has only been submitted unless it is an actual full project being submitted to a peer reviewed journal. I don’t think an abstract should go on there personally.

In regards to #3 most calls are night and weekend, the day schedule is managed by a derm consult team/attending at most programs. I doubt you'll get a good answer for #4 since its super variable and will entirely depend on the severity of the call (ex: SJS vs. eczematous reaction have way different urgencies)The advantages are that people are more likely to remember you versus away rotators in the summer. It kind of depends on whether that program generally interviews its away rotators. I second this 100%, especially with those programs that tend to rotate a lot of students. I think they can still be more helpful than that.I'm an incoming MS1 who hopes to apply to derm in the future, but I am currently torn between these two schools.
