May 12, 2014 · I'm leery of Ford's questionable reliability with throw-out bearings. I too feel they should last way longer. This seems to be a problem not with just the PowerShift, but also the 5-speed manual. Last two vehicles I owned was a Ford Mustang and Jeep Compass. Put over 200k miles trouble free on both vehicles. Traded my Jeep Compass at 258,000mi.. 2013 FORD FOCUS with 119000. miles. Doesn't accelerate half the time when i hit gas. Doesn't go reverse half the time i put it in reverse. Shuts off randomly. Shakes , shutters. Had codes P07A3 and P2872 show up and Ford said they aren't transmission related even tho both codes have the word " transmission in the code summary. Couldn't get ...
