I put the 407k on my XL and it is great. The thing to note is that for new rds shooters, picking up the dot with your eye is where training happens. With the 32 moa circle and 3 moa dot combo of the 507k, you are able to pick it up quickly. The 6 moa dot of the 407k can also be picked up by your eye relatively quickly with training.Got my 3moa RomeoZero "free" from the USCCA deal (cancelation was very easy, got a full refund) and much to my surprise when I opened it up I saw the shrouds are now included. I was excited to get a RDS for free even if it was a polymer one that may break a bit easier than others. But this makes me feel MUCH more secure in handling it.
