I have a quarterly panel data of 20 countries from 2000q1-2012q4. When I import the excel file, both the variables (country and date) turns out to be string variables (appears red in data browser). Here is the description of the two variables: (for ease of reference, I have dropped dependent and independent variables)

But what should you look for when purchasing steel seawall panels for...Nov 16, 2022 · Autocorrelation. Iterated GLS with autocorrelation does not produce the maximum likehood estimates, so we cannot use the likelihood-ratio test procedure, as with heteroskedasticity. However, Wooldridge (2002, 282–283) derives a simple test for autocorrelation in panel-data models. Drukker (2003) provides simulation results showing that the ...

We consider the quasi–maximum likelihood estimation of a wide set of both fixed- and random-effects spatial models for balanced panel data. xsmle allows users to handle unbalanced panels using its full compatibility with the mi suite of commands, use spatial weight matrices ...

Also I found a study of Allison, stating "This paper demonstrates that the conditional negative binomial model for panel data, proposed by Hausman, Hall, and Griliches (1984), is not a true fixed-effects method. This method which has been implemented in both Stata and LIMDEP-does not in fact control for all stable covariates.Title stata.com ipolate — Linearly interpolate (extrapolate) values DescriptionQuick startMenuSyntax OptionsRemarks and examplesMethods and formulasReferences Also see Description ipolate creates in newvar a linear interpolation of …Time series. Researchers perform cointegration tests when time series are nonstationary to determine whether they have a stable, long-run relationship. xtcointtest implements a variety of tests for data containing many long panels, known as the large-N large-T case. Think of a long series on supermarket purchases for a large number of buyers.Identifying structural change is a crucial step in analysis of time series and panel data. The longer the time span, the higher the likelihood that the model parameters have changed as a result of major disruptive events, such as the 2007-2008 financial crisis and the 2020 COVID-19 outbreak. Detecting the existence of breaks, and dating them is …

1,000 independent observations. Therefore, Stata has an entire manual and suite of XT commands devoted to panel data, e.g. xtreg, xtlogit, xtpoisson, etc. Some other commands, like clogit, can also sometimes be used. Here is an example on how you create a dummy in a panel data and then collapse those dummy to the parent unit-of-observation making the dummy 1 if the parent unit-of-observation was 1 in any time period. Then merge the parent unit-of-observation level data back to the panel data. * Example generated by -dataex-.Panel data (also known as longitudinal or cross- sectional time-series data) is a dataset in which the behavior of entities (i) are observed across time (t).
