When I try to change to 1440 the display flickers and the Keep/Revert pops up, but the image gets some blur & its still stuck at the display's 4K resolution.

You could "host" a multiplayer server, there is an admin setting that does something to that effect, iirc. Obviously that doesn't help you with a current character, but it's something.I was testing while still being in the house and the server only saves the map once a player leave the loaded area.
